Day 1 Hanoi arrival
Begin your journey by embarking on your international flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport you will be met by your tour guide and driver from Cyclo Travel Indochina and be transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for your full day tour tomorrow. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2 Hanoi city tour
We will spend a full-day tour to explore Vietnam’s capital city, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on every Monday and Friday), his traditional stilt house, the One-Pillar Pagoda, and the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature also known as the First University of Vietnam. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on every Monday) where you can learn about the costumes, customers and daily life of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups; an hour cyclo tour around Old Quarter Streets and Hoan Kiem Lake vicinity of Hanoi. In the evening, enjoy a traditional water puppet show – a unique Vietnamese Art form hailing from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from September to November for annual maintenance. We will arrange the visit outside.
Day 3 Hanoi - Halong Bay Tour (overnight on cruise)
Leave Hanoi this morning and head straight to Halong bay a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin (180 km – 3.5 - 4 hour driving). After arriving at noon, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood. Lunch and dinner are served on boat. Overnight on board.
Day 4 Halong Bay – flight to Danang - drive to Hoi An
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy aquamarine water of the bay at its best. After tea break, the boat continues to cruise quietly through spectacular limestone formations of Halong Bay. Return to Halong harbor and transfer to Hanoi airport for your next flight to Danang.
Upon arrival in Danang, you will be transferred to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An, stopping en route view the stunning Marble Mountains. An important trading route between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An is a unique blend of culture, cuisine and architecture. Step back in time as you wander the narrow streets of this charming former trading port, with its ancient covered bridges and temples.
After taking in the beautiful vistas of Danang, you will continue on the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An.
Hoi An was part of a significant trading route between the 15th and 19th centuries. As a result, the city is now characterised by a unique blend of cultures, cuisine and architecture. You will step back in time whilst exploring its narrow streets, the charming former port, its ancient bridges and beautiful temples. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5 Hoi An half-day tour
Take a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the ancient quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house and the famous Japanese Bridge.
After visiting the historic sites of Hoi An you will enjoy an afternoon of leisure to wander through the town or relax at one of the many cafés along the picturesque Thu Bon River. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6 Hoi An drive to Danang airport - flight to Siem Reap
Today, after breakfast and check out the hotel, free till you get the transfer back to Danang airport to catch your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our guide and driver will pick you up at airport and transfer you to your hotel in Siem Reap. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 7 Angkor temples
Spend a full day exploring the Angkor Complex, visiting temples such as; Banteay Srei - known as the “Jewel of Khmer Art” with its delicate decorations, Angkor Thom – the town of Khmer, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple Complex, Terraces of Elephants, Terrace of Leper King and the Former Royal Palace.
Ta Prohm
Visit Ta Prohm, the only temple to retain its natural configuration, and is an example of how most of the temples of Angkor looked like at the time of discovery.
Angkor Wat Temple
Explore Angkor Wat temple which was built by the King Suryavarman II in the middle of the 12th century over a period of about 30 years.

Day 8 Siem Reap - flight to Phnom Penh
This morning will be free till you get the transfer back to airport for your flight to Phnom Penh. Our guide and driver will pick you up at airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 9 Phnom Penh city tour
Visit the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital situated at the confluence of the four arms of the Mekong. You’ll pay a visit to Wat Phnom, to know more about the foundation of the city and the story of Madam Penh. Many monkeys have taken this place for their residence. Follow this with a trip to the National Museum, a fascinating introduction to Angkor and a superb example of Khmer architecture. Officially inaugurated in 1920, the Museum displays a range of sculptures dating from different periods of Cambodia’s history. Then visit the Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom. These house a remarkable collection of Khmer art. Here you’ll find the Silver Pagoda whose key works include a golden Buddha encrusted with 9584 diamonds and weighing 90 kgs, and a Buddha featuring emeralds and Baccarat crystal dating from the 17th century. Later visit the Russian Market (Tuol Tumpoung) where you can stroll among all many stalls. Meals on your own. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 10 Killing fields museum - flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city)
Today, you will visit Toul sleng S21 Genocide museum. This building was originally a school then transformed into a prison during Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge’s cruel, genocidal regime. We move to Choeng Ek Museum, known as The Killing Fields, where millions of people were executed. Although they are two very sombre places, they are important to Cambodia’s recent, turbulent history. The Khmer Rouge government was legitimised by the United Nations and many influential countries and one would hope the mistakes of the past and its impact on the Cambodian people are never forgotten or repeated. Then transfer back to airport to catch your flight to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 11 Saigon city tour
Enjoy a full day to tour Saigon’s diverse attractions. Start with a visit to Saigon’s Chinatown, then learn about traditional Vietnamese medicine at the FITO Museum and browse through the amazing array of goods at Ben Thanh Market. Stop for lunch then continue on the city tour with a visit to the War Remnants Museum and former Presidential Palace. Conclude the day exploring the city’s French colonial architecture, stopping at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the City’s Post Office. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 12 Saigon – Mekong Delta – Can Tho
Today you leave Saigon and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town, Cai Be. Along the way, stop at a candy factory and orchard garden, where you have an opportunity to listen to traditional music. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, then cross the Mekong by motorized boat to visit some fluvial islands and explore the countryside by bicycle. Your driver and will meet you at Vinh Long jetty and take you to Can Tho City for the night. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 13 Can Tho - Cai Rang floating market - back to Saigon
Wake early and leave the hotel to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market by motor boat. Continue the boat ride to visit the Mekong Delta’s famous orchards and sample the fresh, exotic fruit. Then venture deeper into the countryside, passing traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves as you observe the activities of the local people. Return to Can Tho for lunch then drive back to Saigon, arriving in the late afternoon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 14 Saigon - departure
Today is free at your leisure till our guide and driver transfer you back to Tan Son Nhat International Airport to catch your flight home. End of our service! We hope you have enjoyed our tour. See you next trip!
