Day 1 Phnom Penh Arrival – Welcome Dinner
Welcome to Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. Upon arrival you will be warmly greeted by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight enjoy a complimentary welcome dinner.

Day 2 Phnom Penh – Toul Sleng Museum – Royal Palace
Today on your city tour, we begin with a visit to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum. The museum was once a high school, then was transformed into Security Prison 21 by the Khmer Rouge Regime. Here is a battle of pain and blood as 14,000 prisoners were killed. Next we visit the National Museum, with the largest collection of Khmer art in the world, including ethnographic objects, ceramics, sculptures and bronzes. Our final visit is the Royal Palace complex and gardens. Its fascinating buildings such as Throne Hall, Moonlight Pavilion and Phochani Pavilion are the perfect mix of Cambodian and French architecture.

Day 3 Mekong & Koh Dach Islands – Cheong Ek – Sihanouk Boulevard
Today you will cruise on the Mekong River. You will visit Koh Dach Island to explore its traditional handicrafts of pottery, silk weaving and wood carving. We return to Phnom Penh for lunch. The afternoon will be spent exploring Cheong Ek, known as, “The Killing Fields”, where millions of people were put to death. Although a very sombre place it is significant in Cambodia’s recent, turbulent history. Afterwards we will take an exciting bike tour around Sihanouk Boulevard, Phnom Penh’s most modern area.

Day 4 Phnom Penh – Siem Reap – Floating Village
After breakfast, we leave Phnom Penh for Siem Reap. The journey takes 5 hours by van. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the untouched landscape along the road. En route stop at a small market and taste the local food. On arrival in Siem Reap, we board a boat to cruise on Tonle Sap Lake. There is no better way to gain an understanding of the local life, than to visit the floating villages on the lake.

Day 5 Ta Prohm – Angkor Wat – Angkor Thom
Today you have a pre-dawn start to catch a tuk tuk to enjoy the magnificent scenery that Ta Prohm offers at sunrise. It’s the ideal time to take amazing, artistic photographs as the early sunlight passes over the moss covered rocks. We return to the hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent exploring the UNESCO listed Angkor Archaeological park. First up, you will visit the magnificent Angkor Wat, the temple depicted on the Cambodian flag. This is followed by Angkor Thom, the ancient capital. Stepping through the gates you will enter a holy world. Temples inside the walls of this city include Bayon Temple with its huge 4face carved statues. Further inside, you will be enthralled by the delicate carved works in Baphou, Leper King Terrace, Elephant Terrace and the Royal Place. The evening is at your leisure.

Day 6 Artistans D'Angkor & Old Market
This morning is free time. In the afternoon, you will have a chance to learn about traditional Cambodian handicrafts with a visit to Artistans D’Angkor where unschooled rural youth are taught handicraft skills such as painting, wood and stone carving, gilding and lacquering. Then, discover the Old Market – a flea market which offers various kinds of products from fake Khmer antiques to souvenirs.

Day 7 1000 lingas – Kulen Mountain – Banteay Srei
After breakfast, we start the tour by visiting Kulen Mountain, the Khmer Empire’s capital. It houses a number of ancient temples, the most famous being the River of 1000 Lingas. Here you also have the chance to listen to the myths about Buddha. After lunch, we move to Banteay Srei which features spectacular Angkor stone carvings. Admire the beauty of Preah Khan, one of the most amazing and biggest Angkor temple.
Overnight in Sieam Reap.
Day 8 Departure
